Why are my Google Ads showing on Indonesian download websites if I only target the US?

This occurs because Google Ads defaults your campaign geographic targeting to "Presence or interest," allowing users outside your target zone who show an interest in your region to view your ads. Additionally, if Google Search Partners is enabled, your ads are syndicated across third-party Indonesian download and file utility portals that run AdSense for Search boxes.

Does turning off Google Search Partners hurt campaign performance?

In most instances, disabling Google Search Partners improves performance by eliminating low-intent impressions and accidental clicks. While overall reach decreases slightly, your average CTR, conversion rate, and lead quality typically rise because your budget is focused exclusively on genuine Google.com search queries.

Can I block specific Search Partner websites without disabling the entire partner network?

Google Ads does not offer a direct feature within standard Search campaigns to exclude individual Search Partner websites by domain. You can add negative keywords to curb unwanted search terms or use account-level placement exclusions, but if low-quality syndication persists, the only definitive solution is unchecking "Include Google search partners" in your campaign settings.

How quickly does disabling Search Partners stop the impression spike?

Once you uncheck "Include Google search partners" in your campaign settings and hit save, the changes take effect within an hour. The phantom impressions and rogue foreign syndication clicks will stop feeding into your account immediately.
